I find it so difficult to explain this album. overall I feel represented in all the feelings I've been feeling so far. shouted into the form of works like in this album.
Favorite track: The Flesh refuses the Light.

Favorite track: The Flesh refuses the Light.

Déhà creates not just music, it's not actually music in the usual sense, this is the atmosphere, this is the mood, this is the feeling, this is pain, this is suffering. In their purest form, 100% concentration.

Pure extreme doom torment! When the spanish inquisition gets tired of having people sit in comfy chairs they turn to Yhdarl.
Favorite track: Sky amongst infested Stars.

In 2006, Yhdarl was born out of Déhà's mind as being a pure, untamed catharsis of extreme emotions. The first album, "Humainly Sick" was a horrible mixture of harsh noise and suicidal doom metal, and was somehow acclaimed by fans of Wormphlegm, Black Bile, Senthil, ...
Years later, the uncompromised album is still a milestone in the discography of the band. Déhà decided to bring it back from the dead, inviting 6 people to make it thicker, harsher, yet well produced.
This album contains four songs of unprecedented sick doom metal, an amazing heavy cover of "Insomnia" from known band Faithless, bringing the sickness of the insomnia well in front, and a noise ending mastodon to close this long, difficult album.
Maximum volume and darkness recommended.

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Insoutenable... Jordan Vauvert
This was truly a revelation. I was getting started with funeral doom, working on something with my headphones on... Then came Déluge... my jaw actually dropped, I stopped what I was doing and, wide-eyed, just listened to the track, baffled and amazed. After the album was over (I never do this), I went to lay down with my headphones to enjoy it over again.
I rarely heard (and felt) this much power and emotion in an album. Until I find something better, this is my landmark for peak funeral doom. fluo
Jordan Vauvert
