Le drone funéraire aux accents orientaux se déploie dans un lieu qui a l'acoustique d'une cathédrale. Le chaos est improvisé mais organisé.
Malgré ses cinq heures, Antithesis n'aura pas épuisé la créativité de Déhà : il n'aura besoin que de six mois pour accoucher de Flesh Ritual !

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

This was truly a revelation. I was getting started with funeral doom, working on something with my headphones on... Then came Déluge... my jaw actually dropped, I stopped what I was doing and, wide-eyed, just listened to the track, baffled and amazed. After the album was over (I never do this), I went to lay down with my headphones to enjoy it over again. I rarely heard (and felt) this much power and emotion in an album. Until I find something better, this is my landmark for peak funeral doom. fluo

Pour cette version de IV - Mythologiæ, Déhà retire presque tout pour ne garder que les atmosphères au claviers. Voix, guitares et batteries y sont si bouleversantes qu'on peut avoir tendance à considérer les ambiances comme une trame de fond : cet album permet de prendre véritablement conscience de leur puissance émotive. Très texturées et nébuleuses, elles dégagent une tristesse intense ("The drowning angel") mais elle est moins tranchée, moins manichéenne et parfois même source d'espoir ! Jordan Vauvert
